Celebrating with friends and family, talking about the future, and of course, planning your wedding. There is lots that needs to be done between the time you get engaged and your wedding day. One of the most common questions I get from couples after they book is “where should we start?” I’m here to give you a quick checklist of what tasks you need to complete.

  • Decide on a color scheme for your wedding
  • Create your wedding website and registry
  • Select your vendors

  • Talk with your wedding planner about your timeline and special activities at your wedding like special dances, a bouquet or garter toss, speeches, a sparkler exit and more
  • Put together a list of song requests for the DJ
  • Write up a shot request list for your photographer with the names of the people you want specific photos with

As I was creating this list I kept thinking of more and more things that need to be completed leading up to the wedding and even right after including preserving your dress and bouquet and sending out thank you notes.
